The Art of the Weld.
A Legacy of Precision Since 1960
The Golden Age
The Klacko name has been an integral part of the “Golden Age” of Canadian yachting since 1960. We weren’t just vendors; we were hands-on engineering partners for the industry’s most iconic brands.
Our history was forged through collaborations with C&C Yachts (Custom Division) and Bruckmann Yachts. During an era defined by performance and grace, Klacko Marine developed the bespoke hardware that gave these vessels their signature polished aesthetic.
From pioneering the modern sailboat arch in the early 1970s to engineering specialized fittings for world-class cruisers, that heritage remains the standard for everything we build today.
Calculated Intuition
Today, the shop is led by Doug Gierula, who brings a dual University background in Engineering and Biochemistry to the design floor.
This foundation allows Doug to apply a “molecular lens” to custom fabrication. By understanding the elemental behavior of specialized marine-grade alloys, he treats every project as a study in Engineered Elegance.
We ensure your hardware isn’t just an addition—it is a seamless evolution of your vessel’s natural lines.
